How to Find your Purpose

The minute it makes sense to you means it’s not high enough. God does not give us ordinary dreams, ordinary feelings, ordinary desires. God does not give us something that will be easy.

He has called you to do something that is so out of the ordinary, something that even you yourself may think is crazy but is possible. It’s only possible with God however, which He does on purpose. He wants us to need Him. He wants us to reach out for His help.

The career you want, the marriage, the children, the home, the support system, the freedom etc are all possible with Him. God knows you need His help, He knows everything and He’s not going to bombard you to seek your purpose. You have to let Him in. You have to start your new life in a sense. Redirect, reprogram, rededicate your life to Him by desiring what He desires for you.

Then and only then, will He start prepping and positioning you to become.

I am doing something new. Now you will grow like a new plant. Surely you know this is true. I will even make a road in the desert, and rivers will flow through that dry land.

Isaiah 43:19

So here are the ultimate steps to finding your purpose. Let’s get into it, ladies.

1. Immerse Yourself in the World of God

Yes, His world. Reading the word of God is a good start, however to find your purpose you have to start living for Him. Be a part of His world. Saturate yourself. Start listening to His word daily. Get really intimate with God about what your purpose could be and what steps you should take to find it.

To do this you have to listen to more Gospel music and other platforms that’ll motivate you to move towards purpose. Some examples of this would be sermons, podcasts, reading the Bible, and being in communion with other like minded people.

Limit overstimulating activities and people. Being consumed with other people’s lives instead of your own is wasteful. You shouldn’t be using your energy to have sex, smoke, drink, party, be on social media or anything that takes your mind and heart off of God and your purpose.

This is the time you should be still and listen for God to speak.

2. Listen to What He Tells You

Listen to the Holy Spirit. Not only listen but comprehend what you hear. There is always a message, a word, that will jump out at you. Listen to it. If you have trouble discerning if God is speaking to you then here’s a post that goes into detail about some of the signs God is speaking to you.

3. Pray to God About your Purpose

Don’t only listen to the opinions of others on a business idea you have, or what decisions you should make about your life. People are bound by different things, things you may not even know of and their opinion can forfeit the person you’re called to be. This doesn’t mean you have to hide or not seek help from others, this just means you need to only depend on God to show you what your purpose is. A support system is important to help you throughout your journey however God is the only one who has a clear answer.

Go somewhere quiet and go alone. Pray to God. Talk to Him about your worries, your desires, your purpose and then watch as He works.

4. Document Your Journey

Write down your request to God. Write down what signs stick out to you. Reflect and evaluate where or what you are being guided towards. This is God speaking to you to start moving.

Write down what I show you. Write it clearly on a sign so that the message will be easy to read. This message is about a special time in the future.. it will come true.

Habakkuk 2:2

You can write the vision God gave you and document your progress in our prayer journal + planner. This is The Ultimate Prayer Journal that will strengthen your relationship with God and help you move towards your purpose.

Nothing is a coincidence. If you are pushed away from one source of money yet you’ve been pushed into another field, understand God is fulfilling your request. Fully dive into who you are called to be. Trust God in this process and always include Him in every step.

4. Stop Hiding Your Gifts

You have something in you that helps others. It’s time to start sharing what God gave you. You have to go, be, and do whatever you hear God tell you to GO, BE, and DO. You can’t be scared or embarrassed because this is your calling.

Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get instant gratification because this is something that has longterm benefits for you and others. This is not for your glory, this is to help others. So don’t give up if the sales don’t happen. Don’t give up if it takes longer than everyone else. This is your journey. Love your journey of becoming the woman you were called to be.

Also when others start to notice you don’t forget the mission. You are here to help someone. Other people are depending on you to share that idea, your thoughts, create that business, or bring your kindness into their life.

Trust God throughout your process and let the vision He told you anchor you to be who He called you to be.

I love you and God loves you
